Philadelphia Union play-by-play voice J.P. Dellacamera to work NBC's Olympic soccer broadcasts

NBC announced a long and impressive list of broadcasters for its soccer coverage at the upcoming Summer Olympics in London. Philadelphia Union play-by-play announcer J.P. Dellacamera will be among the talent.

Dellacamera will only miss one Union broadcast: the August 4 game at Montréal.

NBC's top soccer crew will be its mainstays from MLS broadcasts. Arlo White will do play-by-play, with Kyle Martino as color analyst for men's games and Brandi Chastain as color analyst for women's games. Drea Avent will be the sideline reporter.

Those four will be in London. The rest will work from the United States and call games off monitors.

I haven't seen a schedule of broadcasts yet, but NBC Sports Network has been regularly touting itself as the home for U.S. women's national team matches.

The full Olympic soccer fixture list is here. NBC (yes, over-the-air) will air the U.S. women's team's final Olympic tumeup match, against Canada at Rio Tinto Stadum, on Saturday at 2 p.m. Eastern.

White and Martino. Since they'll be in Utah all weekend, Portland Timbers play-by-play voice John Strong and Real Salt Lake color analyst Brian Dunseth will call Friday night's Chicago Fire at Sporting Kansas City game on NBC Sports Network.

Here's the full roster of NBC's Olympic soccer talent:

The complete list of all 115 commentators across the many Olympic sports that NBC will air can be found here.

Among the people involved who have ties to the Philadelphia area are:

- Doug Collins, lead men's basketball analyst (In all, there will be three play-by-play announcers, five courtside analysts, one studio analyst and one sideline reporter.)

- Mike Emrick, water polo play-by-play (Yeah, it's a weak link, but he was the Flyers' announcer at one point... and he's Mike Emrick.)

- Marshall Harris, studio desk reporter (Nice get for the Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, though I don't know if he'll be based in London or the United States)

- Andrea Kremer, gymnastics analyst and rhythmic gymnastics play-by-play (Philadelphia native)

- Jon Wertheim, tennis reporter (Penn Law School class of 1997. Bet you didn't know that.)
