The upstart Philadelphia Union may have to make its home debut next season at Lincoln Financial Field.
According to a report out of the Washington Post, Major League Soccer’s 16th team has explored this option as a preventive in the event the 18,500-seat soccer stadium currently under construction on Chester’s waterfront runs behind its completion date and/or an opening date schedule from the MLS doesn’t accommodate the team’s already tight construction deadline.
