Andre Iguodala and Thaddeus Young have accepted invitations from USA Basketball to participate in the 2009 minicamp of the men's national team.

Iguodala and Young, the 76ers' starting forwards last season, are two of 25 "rising NBA players" the governing body has invited.

USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo announced the selections yesterday.

The minicamp will be held from July 22 to July 25 in Las Vegas, and will include practice sessions on July 23 and July 24 and the USA Basketball Showcase, an intrasquad game to be held July 25 at the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of Nevada-Las Vegas.

Also on the list is former Sixers shooting guard Kyle Korver, now with the Utah Jazz.

The list is a who's who of young NBA talent, including last season's rookie of the year, Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls; Brandon Roy, an all-star for the Portland Trail Blazers; and last night's No. 1 draft pick, Blake Griffin, now of the Los Angeles Clippers.

Paul Domowitch: On a night when the Eagles turned the ball over three times, committed another bushelful of penalties and converted just four of their first 11 third-down chances, they managed to maximize their other two red-zone opportunities and pull out a 24-20 come-from-behind win over the Bears.
