Sixers' Joel Embiid, JJ Redick listed as questionable versus New York Knicks

NEW YORK – As they tend to do for Joel Embiid lately, the 76ers listed the center as questionable for their Christmas Day matchup against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

JJ Redick is also listed as questionable one day after the Sixers though he would be probably for the matchup. Meanwhile, Justin Anderson, despite being a full participant at Sunday's practice, will remain sidelined with shin splints in his left leg.

Markelle Fultz, who didn't practice, will remain out due to right shoulder rehabilitation. He's scheduled to be reevaluated at the end of the week.

Embiid finished with 14 points in Saturday's loss to the Toronto Raptors after missing the previous three games with back tightness. Meanwhile, Redick has been sidelined the past two games with right hamstring tightness.

"It's getting close, it's getting close," said Redick, who was a partial participant at practice. "We'll see how it feels tomorrow. I'm trying to be smart, patient while also chomping at the bit a little bit."

Anderson said he felt good in his first full practice since being sidelined since the Nov. 16 game against the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center. The reserve forward is aiming to play in Thursday's road matchup versus the Portland Trail Blazers.

"Hopefully, we can take care of business tomorrow," said Anderson, who has missed the last 18 games. "I'll still be putting in my work, trying to figure out how I feel, and going hard getting up reps and hopefully that's the case."

He had been dealing with the shin splints since August.
