Phil Jackson is Joel Embiid's latest victim on Twitter

The Sixers center took aim at Jackson's comment about Kristaps Porzingis' missed exit interview.

I wonder if Joel Embiid knows how to say "Trust the Process" in Latvian.

Wednesday night, the Sixers phenom caught at least part of an interview between New York Knicks president Phil Jackson and MSG Network's Al Trautwig about trading away Latvia's favorite son, 21-year-old big man Kristaps Porzingis.

Jackson confirmed reports that the Knicks have received phone calls from teams interested in acquiring the 7-foot-2 power forward, but also took the opportunity to call him out for skipping his postseason exit interview in April.

"I don't think I've ever had a player over 25 years of coaching, maybe 30, not coming to an exit meeting, so it's not happened to me," Jackson said. "I know it happens to other people and other players. His brother and his agent have downplayed it, but still, it's a chance for a person to express themselves and I had a real good relationship with Kristaps over the last two years. So it was kind of surprising."

Enter Embiid, who took at dig at Jackson on Twitter while appearing to reach out to Porzingis.

Could the Sixers actually be interested in acquiring Porzingis, whom they probably regret not selecting with the No. 3 pick in the 2015 NBA draft?

Here's what Sixers reporter Bob Cooney had to say on the subject a couple of days ago:

President Bryan Colangelo tweaked some ears on Monday when he said "there are many variables with what we might be able to do with these picks."

"You could potentially package them and move up to have a later first-round pick," he said. "There's a lot of interest in our picks. We are managing and negotiating that process now; we have been over the last several weeks. A few suitors have made themselves very present, and they call every day and wonder what we are going to do with our picks."

According to the Vertical, Jackson is dangling Porzingis in hope of securing a top-four pick in the draft, with his eyes on selecting Kansas forward Josh Jackson. The Suns seem like the most likely destination, and could package the No. 4 pick and either Devin Booker or Marquese Chriss to secure Porzingis.

Porzingis' brother Janis told the New York Daily News that the star doesn't want to be traded.

"Despite how the Knicks are treating their players, Kris wants to stay in New York," Janis said. "He loves the city and he loves the fans and he wants to win with this team."
