DUMP VICK......Vick is an old washed-up turn-over machine who has LOST SEVEN GAMES IN A ROW...Vick is the leader of the worst 2-14 team in Eagles history...Kelly will not rebuild with the same loser Vick, or Kelly will lose his credibility as a smart coach....duh.

Vick will NOT be on the Eagles next season...Kelly will NOT rebuild this awful 2-12 that was led for 3 years by Vick..by bringing back the old washed-up Vick to fail miserably again....duh.

What's so incredible about cutting Michael Vick? His level of play last season, even when the horrible offensive line play is taken into account, was terrible. I think he has peripheral vision problems which could be related to the concussions. To summarize: he played poorly, is injury prone, a history of concussions, 32 years old, lost a step. Vick is not the future. I'm not sure he's even someone a team would want as a back up.

Somebody needs to watch some film...and see how many of his interceptions were "tipped" or went thru the hands of the recivers....and how many were bad throws, or how many were desperation throws to make something happen, or were hurried due to the offensoive line's putrid performance.....Yes, he had a horrible year....and maybe he is too old.....but before you haters pile on....you can bet Chip will actually look at film and decide......and remember this koolade drinkers....if 45 of his teamates had the heart and effort that he, McCoy and Avant had, their record would not have been that bad......Michael can still run and has a gun for an arm......His reading defenses and concussions may be an issue, but then again, when you are a hater, you don't care about facts....

Why is it that when anyone makes a negative statement about Vick they're labeled a HATER?? Look, if a QB can't read defenses (and if you've watched the games over the past 3 years, you know he can't) he shouldn't be a starter in the first place. Vick should not have been given that contract. He took the NFL D-coord's by surprise for 10 games, then they figured him out and Vick can't keep up (again, watch the film.) The gun for an arm defense is funny cause you have to see the receiver to throw it to him and then it has to be on the mark. Two things that haven't happened much the past 2 years. Effort is good; Coleman has effort. The only problem is that you need TALENT before effort counts. And funny how the O-line didn't look so bad once Foles stepped in. If I'm a lineman, my job would be SO MUCH EASIER if I know where the QB was. The Chipper is supposed to be a sarp guy so bye bye Mike....

About this blog
Rich Hofmann arrived at the Daily News in 1980 for a job whose status was officially designated as "full-time, temporary." A senior at Penn at the time, he was hired to fill in on the copy desk during a staff illness. The notion of him covering the Eagles or being a columnist did not exist in anyone's imagination. It was supposed to be six weeks and out, but he never left. It is only one of the reasons why so many people have concerns about him as a potential house guest. Rich has blogged the postseasons of the Flyers and Eagles. E-mail Rich at hofmanr@phillynews.com Reach Rich at hofmanr@phillynews.com.
