Ed Snider, Paul Holmgren and Ed Stefanski were having lunch.

Here is a secret transcript of the conversation.

Snider: How could you let that happen?

Stefanski: Which one of us are you talking to?

Snider: How can you collapse like that in the last game?

Holmgren: Which one of us are you talking to?

Snider: It's Game 6, the crowd's revved up, and you completely fall apart?

Stefanski: Which one of us are you talking to?

Snider: Where's the heart?

Holmgren: Which one of us are you talking to?

Snider: Where's the young leadership you always talk about?

Stefanski: Which one of us are you talking to?

Snider: And how does a coach let that happen?

Holmgren: Which one of us are you talking to?

Snider: I've never seen anything like this. Now what am I supposed to do?

Silence.

haha. nice one rich. i've never seen a poorer group of speakers and leaders as we have as head coaches of our philly sports teams. they all appear to have no confidence or energy.

Haha ha! Pretty good , Rich.. I do believe that Ed Snider might be part of the problem since the BBall team hasn't won in 26 years (Ed's been in charge for about 12 of them), and it's been 34 for hockey.

Heh..that was actually pretty good. Ed is a crook, a liar and a few other things. But he wants these teams to win, especially the NHL team. The NBA team sucked before he took them over. To win championships takes a lot of luck, hard work and determination. Personally its got to be the toughest thing to do in sports, GM/Owner of any sports team. The Flyers are a perennial playoff team while the 76ers are normally at the bottom or barely competitive. The Eagles are in the playoffs a lot also. You have to get into the playoffs to give yourself a chance to win a championship and Ed has done that, at least with the Flyers.

About Rich Hofmann
Rich Hofmann arrived at the Daily News in 1980 for a job whose status was officially designated as "full-time, temporary." A senior at Penn at the time, he was hired to fill in on the copy desk during a staff illness. The notion of him covering the Eagles or being a columnist did not exist in anyone's imagination. It was supposed to be six weeks and out, but he never left. It is only one of the reasons why so many people have concerns about him as a potential house guest. Rich has blogged the postseasons of the Flyers and Eagles.
