The NBA schedule was announced a little bit ago and the Sixers have a friendly opening to their schedule as 10 of their first 15 games will be at the Wachovia Center.

The NBA released its schedule for the upcoming season and the Sixers will open on October 31 at home against the Denver Nuggets. In fact, 10 of the teams first 15 games will be at the Wells Fargo Center.
After the opener the Sixers will have a home-and-home series with the New York Knicks on November 4 and 5. They'll face the first overall pick Anthony Davis and the Hornets on November 7 in New Orleans before going to Boston for a game with the Celtics on November 9. The Celtics ended the Sixers season with a Game 7 win in the Eastern Conference semifinals last season.
Beginning November 12 the Sixers will play 8 of 9 games at home, highlighted by the visit of Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday, November 24.
The annual holiday road trip will begin in Brooklyn on December 23 which will be the start of 8-straight road games, including a New Year's Day contest against the Lakers. Starting January 12 the Sixers will then begin a string in which they will play 13 of 15 games at home.
Much like last season the Sixers will finish out the season with a lot of road trips as 7 of their final 9 games will be away, concluding with the season finale on April 17 at Indiana.
Other dates of note: The Celtics will player here for the first time on December 7. The Lakers will make their lone visit on December 16 and the Sixers will make their first visit to Brooklyn to face the Nets a week later. Blake Griffin and the Clippers will come to Philadelphia on February 2, while LeBron James and the world champion Miami Heat make the first of their two visits on February 23. The Heat will return again on March 13.
