No two games will tell the story of where the Sixers were at the beginning of the season and where they are now than their two meetings with the Hornets (Nov. 7 in New Orleans; Tuesday here). Below we compare their numbers in those two games.
Here are two things to check out: the Hornets' two-point shooting and offensive rebounding.
On Nov. 7, New Orleans shot 19-for-50 inside the arc; Tuesday they were 34-65. That is exactly 15 more two-point attempts ... every one of them a make! Ouch!
Secondly, in the first meeting, the Hornets garnered 24.4% of the offensive rebounds available to them (slightly under the league average of 27%). In Game 2, N.O. went and got 40% of the ORs available to them. That is a very winning number.
