Report: Sixers trade Thaddeus Young to Minnesota in three-team deal

The Thaddeus Young era in Philadelphia is officially coming to an end.

According to a report from Jerry Zgoda of the Minnesota Star Tribune, the Sixers will trade Young to the Minnesota Timberwolves as part of a three-team deal that will land all-star forward Kevin Love with Cleveland Cavaliers.

In exchange for Young, the Sixers will receive former Timberwolves Luc Mbah a Moute, Alexey Shved and the Miami Heat's first-round draft pick in 2015, which came from the Cavaliers.

The Timberwolves received not only Young from the Sixers, but also Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett from the Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers received only Love, but increased their prospects of winning the Eastern Conference. The entire deal will be made official Saturday.

In seven seasons in Philadelphia, Young averaged 13.7 points per game along with 5.5 rebounds.

His numbers steadily improved throughout his career as he went from averaging 8.2 points per game his first season to 17.9 during his last.
