Report: Sixers to interview Portland assistant

Another 76ers' coaching candidate has surfaced.

The team has received permission to interview Portland Trail Blazers assistant coach David Vanterpool for the head coaching job, Yahoo! Sports is reporting. Vanterpool coached Portland's NBA Summer League team in Las Vegas.

The Sixers have been searching for a coach since Doug Collins resigned on April 18.
