LeBron James wishes to step from behind the shadow of Michael Jordan, but is planning to follow in his footsteps, according to a report from Deadline.com.
According to the report, James has been tapped to star in “Space Jam 2”, the sequel to the 1996 film that starred Jordan during the peak of his popularity.
Dick Ebersol’s sons Charlie and Willie are reportedly on board to produce the film. The original was a major success at the box office, as it grossed $230 million worldwide and even launched a television series.
The Ebersols are hoping that James — the Jordan of this generation — can be as big a box office hit, or better.
