Andrew Bynum met with the media today and said many, many upsetting things. 

The “76ers center” experienced swelling in his knee after a recent scrimmage, setting back any progress that had been made to this point.

It was clear that things were getting all too real for the city of Philadelphia and its basketball team when the district attorney, Seth Williams, responded to the news.

Bynum did guarantee the Sixers would get a contribution from him this season, saying it's now his "job to be a cheerleader." He also wore a t-shirt which was presumably advocating a local hockey team.

Doug Collins gave a dark epilogue to close things out, saying that he knew all along that Bynum missing the whole season was "always a possibility."
