Sixers' Jahlil Okafor to start vs. Pacers

INDIANAPOLIS -  The 76ers' Jahlil Okafor will start at center Wednesday night against the Indiana Pacers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

The 6-foot-11, 265-pounder gets the nod, because Joel Embiid stayed in Philadelphia to rest his right foot. Okafor is likely to play about 24 minutes while overcoming a sore knee.

The second-year veteran is averaging 11.4 points and 4.2 rebounds in 20 minutes of action. Embiid also sat out the Nov. 2 matchup against the Hornets in Charlotte to rest his foot.  Richuan Holmes started over Okafor that night. The team wanted Okafor to come off the bench that night because officials are cautious about him playing too much on the sore knee.
