Kobe Bryant tells 'stupid' Los Angeles Lakers fans to 'shut up'
Even though the Los Angeles Lakers have only played two games this season, the team's fans are already panicking.
Kobe Bryant and company have started the campaign winless. That has SoCal up in arms about the possibility that they might not get the easy ride to a championship that they're used to.
Actually, the Lakers have often started seasons poorly, even when they've gone on to win titles. Bryant is well aware of this. According to the Los Angeles Times, he had some harsh words for his critics in the stands.
"Now you have Mike Brown telling everybody to be patient," Bryant said Thursday "Back then, it was Phil Jackson telling everybody to shut up... "I'll say it for [Brown]: Everybody shut up. Let us work."
Bryant then took an even more direct shot at Los Angeles fans.
"I don't understand … the city here," Bryant said. "They've seen us win multiple championships here, playing [Phil Jackson's triangle] offense that was tough to learn... They know how that stuff works. For them to be so stupid now ..."
