Sixers center Spencer Hawes says his back is improving.
Hawes spent the Sixers' day off after three consecutive games "Getting treatment then some more treatment. Then some rest," he said on Twitter.
He tweeted that he is spending the evening with family and that is back is "feeling better."
Hawes missed the last game and a half with a lower back strain and is officially listed as day-to-day.
The feeling here is if he feels any discomfort Friday, he will sit out the game at home against Washington and Saturday's game there, then return for Monday afternoon’s game at home against Milwaukee.

Good. Need him back. Pun intended. evolutionary
@evolutionary..LOL..wecome BACK...Way BACK when I played, we'd kick our starting center in his BACKside if he'd kept coming BACK too soon from what appeared to be a nagging type of BACK ailment...He should just sit BACK and rest this weekend, and sip some BACCardi and let some rooks break their BACKS against the lowly Wizards. An honest player will suffer no BACKlash from fans or teammates...as we would much rather see him BACKpedal fluently and not BACKdown from physical opponents when the time comes...So just rest Spence, there will be no BACKstabbing or BACKtalk regarding your BACKwoods medical assessment of your BACK..When you're totally healed, you'll be BACK in the saddle again!..We'll need you healthy in the end, to help bring home the BACon. bearsfriend
