Danny Granger reportedly 'pissed' about being traded to Sixers

Sixers fans were head over heels upon hearing that the team was shipping Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen to the Pacers for Danny Granger.

Granger, on the other hand, was reportedly less than thrilled.

According to Jake Fischer of the Boston Globe, the former All-Star was "pissed" when he heard the news.

Danny Granger was "pissed" when he learned he was traded to the Sixers, per league source.

Granger has spent his entire career thus far with the Pacers since the team drafted him with the 17th overall pick back in 2005.

After missing significant time due to injury, Granger was looking forward to getting back into the mix on a Pacers team that looks poised for a run at the NBA title.

Unfortunately for Granger, his expiring contract made him trade bait for the Pacers. According to Sports Illustrated, the Sixers made the Pacers an offer they couldn't refuse at the 11th hour, thus sending Granger from the best team in the Eastern Conference to a team that hasn't won a game since January.

Sixers general manager Sam Hinkie mentioned during a press conference Friday that he and Granger were going to talk about what each side wanted out of the rest of the season.

Sports Illustrated also reported that Granger may be looking for the Sixers to buy out the rest of his contract so he could sign up for a contender, which would explain him not being in uniform with his new team Friday night.

Two teams that he has reportedly targeted are the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs.
