hmturner -- its because he has the size(6'4), a GREAT defender, has a decent 3 point shoot, and oh, he's just turned 20. thats why.

Encouraging to hear that Thad bulked up a bit. Hes always been talented but soft. He should give Reggie Evans a call and work out with him a few times a week. Seems to me you have to give the starting big man spots to Brand and Hawes either or Smith (whoever wins the job) None of the other "big" men play defense very well either, so i think you just go with size, take your lumps, and hope the hole in the paint is offset by better perimeter defense. I think you have to start Brand if you really want to "revjuvenate" him, as Collins said he did. Give him a shot under a real coach(for the first time here), and a full season removed from injury(for the first time here), and see what happens. If he still doesn't produce (and either thad or speights has earned it on the boards and by playing defense), bench him in favor of thad or speights. Even if you don't like brand, its important to make those guys earn their spots if you want them to toughen up.

To much time is spent on non sports comments in these question and answer sessions. Sportswriter needs to ignore stupid comments and answer the sports questions.

can defend 94'. can create. can/a willing passer. 20. 6'4". hasn't figured out rondo yet though. needs to tighten up his shot mechanics. too much motion/movement. can pick and roll.
