Comcast SportsNet Sixers sideline reporter Meredith Marakovits has been named the New York Yankees’ clubhouse reporter for the YES Network.

She will be part of Yankees’ telecasts, pregame and postgame shows, and the “Yankees Batting Practice Today” show. Marakovits will also appear on additional Yankees programming and will contribute to YESNetwork.com.

Her last day with CSN is April 4. The Yankees’ season opener is April 6.

“I am excited about covering arguably the greatest franchise in sports, the New York Yankees, with its rich history and its continued commitment to excellence,” Marakovits said. “I am very familiar with the Yankees, having covered them on both TV and radio. I am also eager to join the YES team and work alongside some of the best talent in the business.”

A Northhampton native and La Salle graduate, Marakovits has worked for several of Comcast SportsNet’s regional networks, including her work on the Sixers’ sideline and on “SportsNite” as well as a larger role in New York. She previously worked as the Phillies reporter for 950 ESPN Radio/97.5 the Fanatic.
