Milsap might be too Brand-esque. IMO, the Sixers wasnt to get out of that 15-19 draft slot and, at least for one year, pick in the 1-8 range. Brand is solid -- good but unspectacular. Guys like Brand (and Milsap) get you the 7 or 8 seed.

We're still dogged by the decision to take Speights over Hibbert in 2008. I'm fairly confident they made a similar mistake this year but for whatever reason DC felt the need to be loyal to Vucevic and not wreck his confidence. That will cost us.

I think nailing him to the bench for the playoffs didn't do his confidence any great wonders.

beat me to it rzzzzz. dc had vuce nailed to the bench from mid march through the rest of the season so i'm pretty sure DC didn't care about his confidence in the draft.

I am a fan of Paul Milsap. But, I would be much happier with bringing in his bigger teammate, Big Al Jefferson. And he along with Javale McGee would be the only 2 guys that I would actually trade AIggy for. I would love to see the Sixers offer Javale a max deal. Al Jefferson might have a slight edge on him offensively (now), but Javale is only 24 years old. Al J is only 27 himself. Either of them would be good for me. I just think that Javale has greater upside. Big Al is probably as good as he's going to be. But hey, I'll take 20,10,and 2 any day. Javale, however, looks like one day he could easily be a 18, 14, 3-3.5 guy.

"I'm not comfortable throwing them out there because I don't have any confirmation." Between Cooney and Mitchell this town has to have the two worst beat writers. how do these guys get a check? Awful.

You do realize that Bob and John are reporters and not sports talk show hosts, right? The difference is very significant. Reporters report fact. Sports talk show host share opinion, speculate, and occasionally report facts that are typically reported to them. These days players agents report their information to yahoo sports and other on-line outlets first. It's away of getting info out there to mass media immediately. And it also a way for agents to promote themselves. The beat writers are usually the last to know.

You would trade Iggy for JaVale McGee? Really?

    Ugh I have some names in mind...but I can't mention them...ugh haven't been confirmed...

Wow really? Thanks for this exciting video!

You tell me the Sixers are getting a big man next but can't tell us anyone who it is...and you tell us we are going to keep Iggy and see what we can get for him at the deadline? That hasn't happened the last 5 years....

Oh and I will trade my username in a second for Millsap..Finally a guy who we need and is proven. However, I'd love to see Iggy go in that deal instead of Turner.

come on people. use your brains!!!! there isnt a center on the way in philly. they need a starting powerforward that can pound the glass to play next to hawes who spends all his time in the post. like it or not, unless a dwight miracle happens, hawes/cuc and on occasion lavoy/arnette are our centers! deal with it!!!

We desperate for a PF. i have a very bad feeling in the shape of a trade for a dajuan blair or even worse, Andre blatche!

but hey who cares, we have 6 guys that are 6'7, so y complain. hahahs. not a single dude on the roster that u can count on for 8 rebounds a night. if you cant rebound, then u cant compete, regardless of how good your d is!

Oh and Bearsfriend, Chuck, Mtairy and the rest of you could have been Bob Cooney in this video...and did a much better job.

Talking about how they might keep Iggy and then saying they have people in mind but he can't hand them out.

Die hard reporting here in Philly!
