Rajon Rondo paces Celtics in win over Bobcats

Rajon Rondo scored 17 points with 12 assists and 10 rebounds on Monday night to lead the Boston Celtics to a 100-89 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats.

It was Rondo's third triple-double of the season and the 26th of his career, including playoffs.

Paul Pierce scored 19 and Avery Bradley added 16 for Boston, which won for a season-high sixth consecutive game.

Hakim Warrick and Ramon Sessions had 16 points apiece for the Bobcats, who lost their third straight and their 23d in the last 25 games since opening the season 7-5.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist scored 10 with eight rebounds.

Wizards stymie Magic

Emeka Okafor had 19 points and 11 rebounds, leading six players in double figures for Washington in a 120-91 victory over the visiting Orlando Magic for the Wizards' third straight win.

Jameer Nelson had 19 points and 12 assists to lead Orlando.

Clippers win minus Paul

Reserves Jamal Crawford and Matt Barnes each scored 16 points, and the visiting Los Angeles Clippers routed the Memphis Grizzlies, 99-73, with Chris Paul missing his first game this season because of a bruised right kneecap.

Gasol to miss 5th game

Pau Gasol is expected to miss his fifth straight game for the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night while he recovers from a concussion. Gasol is averaging a career-low 12.2 points and 8.4 rebounds, struggling at times to fit into new coach Mike D'Antoni's system.

Injury list

The hand surgery to repair the third and fourth metacarpal for Minnesota's Kevin Love has been scheduled for Tuesday in New York.

San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili is expected to miss 10-14 days with a left hamstring strain.
