Last month, on a rainy Tuesday afternoon just before Christmas, Dajuan Wagner strolled into a Cherry Hill gym. It was only a minute or two before tip-off of a game between Camden High and Cherry Hill East, and he sat close to the door, at the very end of the first row of bleachers, shaking a hand or two and nodding back at some folks who recognized him - the greatest high school player New Jersey's ever seen.

Excellent story - wish him the best in his comeback. Maybe the team across the river could take a look at him........... Northcountry
People want to make this a sad story about another failed athlete from the hood but this guy is not one of those stories and he deserves a lot of credit. He's battling back from health problems! He's not bitter and blaming others, not trying to short cut the system. He's involved in the life of his teenage son, living comfortably and supporting his former high school all while he's training and hoping for a comeback. I hope that he makes a solid comeback and is able to share more details of his story with others. Whishing him the best! nceagle
Great writing. Thank you akaufman16
My question is what is authur barclay doing with his life? That kid had a
chance to go to Moorestown Friends School, but chose those 4 years of
glory at Camden High to be with DuJuan. I hope it was a good choice in the end and is he is successful. amrts
Sad that Republicans read this story and laugh at the poor down and out black man. Republicans are racists that hate the black president because he is black. eldiablodelsol2009

Is this a real comment? I'm not buying it. Way too ignorant to be real. retdetvet
Sad story of a young man that never was healthy. I wish him the best! bill poore
Good article. Seems like his health ailments were unavoidable if he had them in Memphis. Granted he was taken 6th overall, but if kids stay in school longer and hone their game, they not only become a better player but have a degree to fall back on. Its a long term investment in yourself. are you better long term 1 and done, or better long term with longer college stay. NFL gets it right all the time, NBA is way behind and why today, there is 3 players out of 50 rookies averagign less than 10 ppg. THREE!?!?! I hope he does comeback. NBA needs some talent Sports4Life
