Adonal Foyle, a reserve center for the Orlando Magic, has undergone arthroscopic surgery on his right knee, the team said yesterday.

The team said there's no timetable for Foyle's return.

The one-time Cardinal O'Hara star hasn't played in the preseason and has participated in only a few practices due to the knee.

Roster cuts. With the regular season approaching, teams began trimming their rosters, which must total 15 players by Monday.

Among those waived: Houston Rockets guards Romel Beck and Garrett Temple; Minnesota Timberwolves center Jared Reiner; Detroit Pistons forward Maceo Baston; Atlanta Hawks guard Mario West and centers Garret Siler and Courtney Sims; Oklahoma City Thunder guard Tre Kelley; Phoenix Suns guard Dan Dickau and forward Carlos Powell; Sacramento Kings center Melvin Ely; and Utah Jazz forward Goran Suton (the team's second-round pick in June) plus forwards Spencer Nelson and Alexander Johnson.
