Iverson's agent set to talk to Clippers
Allen Iverson's agent plans to meet with Los Angeles Clippers officials in Las Vegas to discuss a one-year deal for the mid-level exception of $5.8 million, ESPN.com reported.
The agent, Cherry Hill's Leon Rose, was trying to set up a meeting between Iverson and the Clippers, who want to ask the former 76ers all-star how he feels about coming off the bench, the Web site reported. That issue became a sore subject for Iverson when he was with the Detroit Pistons last season.
The former MVP and four-time scoring champion is an unrestricted free agent.
The Memphis Grizzlies and Miami Heat also are said to be interested in Iverson, 34, who averaged a career-low 17.5 points per game last season.
Boozer expects trade. Carlos Boozer does not expect to be playing for the Utah Jazz this season.
"The Jazz told me they want to go in a different direction and I respect their decision," he told a Chicago radio station.
Boozer could have voided the final year of his contract, but he opted to remain with Utah. He has averaged 19 points and 10 rebounds since the Jazz signed him as a restricted free agent five years ago.
In other Jazz news, the team re-signed reserve point guard Ronnie Price, who had been an unrestricted free agent.
Bulls buy out Thomas. Forward Tim Thomas and Chicago have agreed on a contract buyout, ending the veteran's second stint with the Bulls.
The former Villanova star was acquired from the New York Knicks in February and averaged 5.8 points and 2.3 rebounds in 18 games with Chicago.
Thomas, 32, has played for six teams, including the Sixers, in 12 years.
Pacers add Dahntay Jones. Indiana signed free-agent guard Dahntay Jones to a four-year deal worth $11 million, his agent, Aaron Mintz, said.
Jones started 71 games for the Denver Nuggets last season, playing a key role in the team's run to the Western Conference finals.

He is accused of three felony counts of writing bad checks totaling $1 million to Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood, and the Red Rock Resort.
Walker was an all-star with the Boston Celtics, and won an NBA championship in 2006 with the Miami Heat.
