With four games left in their preseason schedule, the Sixers are 2-1. Their next game is tomorrow in New York against the Knicks.
Yesterday, Sixers head coach Maurice Cheeks went with the same starting lineup he has used all preseason: point guard Andre Miller, shooting guard Iguodala, small forward Young, power forward Elton Brand, and center Sam Dalembert.
This group started slowly, trailing by 24-20 after the first quarter by shooting only 32 percent (8 of 25) from the field.
The Sixers tied the game after closing the third quarter on a 9-0 run.
Brand, three games into his Sixers career, finished with 10 points and nine rebounds. Brand came from the Los Angeles Clippers, signing with the Sixers in July.
"Obviously [adding Elton] makes us a little tougher, and makes the East a little tougher," Cheeks said. "He's an excellent player, so any time you bring in a player from the West to the East, it's going to make the East a little stronger."
The Sixers outscored Toronto, 46-16, in points in the paint, with rookie Marreese Speights scoring 10 of his 12 points in the fourth quarter.
After the game, Brand said the team's "minimal goal" was to return to the playoffs. The Sixers lost to Detroit in the first round last season.
"It had a real nice pace, a real nice flow," said Iguodala, who had five assists. "I thought we got up and down the court and made the extra passes. We played unselfishly, and I think we will be better going forward."
