Charlotte Bobcats forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, a Somerdale, N.J. native, unleashed a thunderous one-hand slam against the Detroit Pistons Wednesday night at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte. The 6-7 local product posterized 6-11 Pistons center Greg Monroe to the delight of fans in attendance.
The dunk didn't lead to victory as the Bobcats fell, 105-99, to the Pistons, but fans will surely remember the play.
Take a look at the video and make sure to listen to the Bobcats announcers lose their minds:

^Tupac... a guy who never dunked a basketball before.
The announcers were hyped, the crowd was hyped, I'm not even a Charlotte fan, and i'm hype, obviously you didn't get it. That was a nasty dunk, over a larger opponent. Something you don't see everyday. DontBeAHypocrite
tupac go wash the sand from ur vag bhamss1
claiming this as a tremendous dunk over Greg Monroe is not really being fair to Monroe. He was literally under the backboard when MKG was ready to takeoff - not a chance he gets to the apex in time. but good for MKG. phils_tnj1
