ESPN: Bynum's latest bruise from bowling

POSTED: Sunday, November 18, 2012, 12:34 AM

Did 76ers center Andrew Bynum cause further damage - including a new bone bruise and cartilage damage – to his knees while bowling?

According to a report on ESPN.com, this might be the case. Citing multiple sources, ESPN.com reported that Bynum, who has yet to play for the Sixers, may have caused himself further damage while bowling.

There are several activities that are prohibited in standard NBA player contracts, but bowling is not one of them. Bynum is known to enjoy bowling, ESPN.com reported.

On Friday, Bynum reported that he experienced a setback in his recovery. Already hampered by a bruised bone in his right knee, Bynum said that he has also suffered a similar injury in his left knee. Bynum is scheduled to begin basketball related activities in early Dec.

Really? You guys are attacking him for bowling? He's supposed to know that he would get injured? As a Sixers fan, I am disappointed, but come on, get a grip people.

Odom part 2..... I seriously do not think that this guy want to play here just like his previous team mate in Dallas. I can't feel and see his passion even when he attend the Sixers' home game.

Cut the guy a break. Who could anticipate hurting them self bowlin?. If that is that is the case then the knee would not hold up anyway.

Mitchell should be flat out embarrassed. Not only does he get scooped by espn, all he does is post three measly paragraphs with a link to espn's report and no followup, no questions from anyone on the Sixers end, no new information whatsoever. What did the editors do, pull this guy's name out of a hat to replace Kate Fagan??

Easiest 16 million this brother is ever going to make. Wait, check that, he'll sign another contract with another idiot team, play 2-12 games and collect another 60 million.

Who is to blame?? Senior Sixer mgmt in my estimation. The team traded for him and has the accountability for all that happens; good & bad....like not digging deep enough into the health issues w/o mgmt of the existing problem.

Harkless already looks like a star player in two years. Vuc is having a good season so far and we are stuck with a player who has bad knees and will probably never play again. Great move sixers. You really did your homework.
