Andrew Bynum officially ruled out of season opener
John Mitchell, Inquirer Staff Writer
The 76ers officially ruled out Andrew Bynum’s participation in Wednesday’s home opener against Denver during an evening practice at Wells Fargo Center on the eve of their season. Additionally, the Sixers said there is no timeframe for Bynum’s return.
“While Andrew and the 76ers are both eager for him to resume game play as soon as possible, given the long regular season and the playoffs, the team intends to act with caution as to the date of his return,” read a statement issued by the team.
“Andrew has already commenced low-impact conditioning,” the statement continued, “and will be re-evaluated by medical personnel on a continuous basis.”

What you see is what you get.Bynum will be in an out of the lineup just as he was with the lakers. Talented yes,but will not hold up. gardner
No real concern here. I seen this man play on torn ligaments to help win a title. The same knee that would be fine if Kobe would have passed him the ball at Memphis instead of forcing a shot and rolling up on that knee. Since the, this guy has had issues caused by his former teamate. He would if the sixers let him play, so I'm not concerned. blackbelt1
ACT WITH CAUTION!? Give me a break! Give him back to the lakers! He is a re-tread...period! Right off jump street, he's out! No opener, no date of a possible return! This is "our" future? The big man we have been searching for since Moses Malone?! This was a mistake from the beginning, one the organization will be paying for...ala...Chris Webber, Coleman,& Bradley for a long time. frank castle
