The Linc: Eagles training camp begins tomorrow!
All 5 QBs and James Casey are the notable vets showing up early.
(Jimmy note: This will be my 4th training camp. Because I didn't have a wireless card, I would actually go to Starters in between the morning and afternoon practice sessions because they had free internet. And beer. Bethlehem had an awesome vibe to it, and I'm going to miss it, but clearly, the facilities at the NovaCare complex far exceed those at Lehigh. From an efficiency standpoint, it's a no-brainer.)
The details of Michael Bamiro's contract are out. And they're interesting.
Loaded with stories about Vermeil, Buddy, Rhodes, and Reid.
Chip Kelly was asked last month what the ideal range of plays per game will be for the Eagles' offense.
"Whatever it takes to win," he said. "I've never been caught up in that at all. I don't care. The only thing I look on the stat sheet is did we have more points than they have. I think people get caught up in too many things.
(Jimmy note: Mark Saltveit of FishDuck.com wrote a book called "The Tao of Chip Kelly." It's a very good, easy read. In his book, Mark talked about Chip Kelly and how much he cares about the number of plays they run. Said Kelly:
"Two years ago, a Thursday night game, we played UCLA. They ran 73 snaps, we ran 71 snaps. They had the ball for 40 minutes, we had the ball for 20 minutes. We won 60-13."
In case you went to bed early, Lane Johnson signed.
