NHL Trade Rumors: Toronto willing to move Nikolai Kulemin, per reports
The Leafs are shedding salary before the trade deadline.
TSN's Darren Dreger reports that the Leafs are telling teams forward Nikolai Kulemin is available via trade. Toronto is asking for a "substantial" return, including a player and a draft pick. According to Dreger, no worthwhile offers have been presented to Toronto general manager Dave Nonis.
With a $3 million cap hit and a 30-goal season on his resume, Kulemin would be an attractive option for contending teams looking for some scoring on the wing. With Buffalo Sabres forward Matt Moulson out for a month with an upper-body injury, Toronto could be betting on Kulemin's value increasing.
Kulemin has eight goals and 16 points through 44 games this season.
