Reggie Bush blames Lions' lack of discipline on players, not coaches
Detroit has been struggling to do the little things right, something its running back pins on the men in uniform.
Many in the media have turned their eyes on head coach Jim Schwartz, blaming him for the undisciplined style of play Detroit is becoming known for. However, running back Reggie Bush says the blame should be laid directly at the players' feet, according to the Detroit Free Press' Carlos Monarrez.
Bush has been one of the best additions of the offseason for any team, gaining 940 rushing yards on 4.8 yards per attempt along with 47 receptions for 463 yards. However, his efforts haven't been enough to get the Lions over the hump recently, losing four of their previous five games.
At 7-7, Detroit trails the Chicago Bears by a game and the Green Bay Packers by half a game in the NFC North. With the Bears and Packers squaring off in Week 17, the Lions need to win this weekend and hope one of those two teams loses Sunday to keep Detroit alive going into the final week.
