Fantasy football projections, Week 13: Steelers vs. Ravens featuring Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown and Ray Rice

We break down the Week 13 matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens.

The Week 13 matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens is a classic rivalry that should be low scoring. We've got all the fantasy projections for you courtesy of numberFire.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Don't look now, but the Steelers are rolling. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has led the team to three straight wins amid speculation he asked for a trade. Whatever that speculation may lead to remains to be seen. What's real right now is that he's playing well. His numbers against the Cleveland Browns last week were solid and he hasn't turned the ball over in the last two games. At his best he can be a borderline starter in fantasy leagues, but in general he's more of a plug and play kind of player. That said, a game against the Ravens could bring out the best in Big Ben in Week 13.

If Roethlisberger can work his magic and get the ball down the field against the Ravens, it'll be thanks to the sure hands of receiver Antonio Brown. Brown is at the top of his game right now. He's got four touchdowns in the last four games. He's gotten at least nine targets in each of those games, so if fantasy owners weren't sure who Roethlisberger's favorite target was, they should know it by now.

Baltimore Ravens

After surpassing the 100-yard mark for the first time this season in Week 11, Ray Rice has come crashing back down to earth. He posted just 30 yards on 16 carries for a dismal 1.9 yards per carry against the New York Jets last week. He's averaging 2.9 yards per carry on the season. That's well below his career average of 4.4. The bottom line is the Ravens aren't exactly Super Bowl contenders this year and Rice just doesn't have the support that he used to.

If he can't get going against the Steelers, Rice will need quarterback Joe Flacco to make things happen. Flacco isn't owned in too many fantasy leagues. That's because he's been too inconsistent. Against the Jets last week he threw for 273 yards, yet he threw for a combined 302 yards in the two games before that. When owners consider that with the fact he has not thrown more than two touchdowns in a game all season, it's easy to see why Flacco is not a fantasy play worth pursuing against the Steelers.
