Reggie Bush, Joique Bell quiet for Lions, fantasy owners
The Detroit Lions' two-headed monster at running back, Reggie Bush and Joique Bell, was more like a two-headed kitten Sunday as the team lost to the Green Bay Packers 22-9. The two running backs combined for only 65 rushing yards and 55 receiving yards.
With main wide receiver Calvin Johnson a surprise scratch with knee troubles that failed to go away in pregame warmups, the Packers' defense was able to stop the Lions' other primary weapons, Bell and Bush. Bush was held to 44 rushing yards on 13 carries and 25 receiving yards on four catches, while Bell had 21 rushing yards on five carries and 30 receiving yards on four receptions.
Fantasy impact: Bush has scored touchdowns and gone over 100 total yards in two of his three games this season. Bell, meanwhile, has three touchdowns, though his yards have typically been held more in check. Either way, both backs were quiet Sunday.
