Trent Richardson's carries could rise, pleasing fantasy owners
Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson should get more than 20 carries against the Ravens Sunday, according to offensive coordinator Norv Turner. The plan was reported by Browns beat writer Nate Ulrich.
Richardson carried the ball 13 times for 47 yards Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, adding two receptions for another 30 yards.
Richardson has, thus far in his career, been injury prone, so fantasy owners would rather keep his touches moderately limited than get a crazy amount of touches and get hurt more quickly. But asking for 20 or so touches isn't obscene, so keeping in the range of that number should be good news for fantasy owners. Richardson, followed by tight end Jordan Cameron, is clearly the Browns' best option on offense. Josh Gordon's return in Week 5 could theoretically change that, but a team still wants to ride its studs.
