Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten came out swinging against the New York Giants in Week 1, scoring two touchdowns and catching eight passes in the Sunday night's win.
Witten has long been considered one of the best tight ends in the NFL, and he's always been equally reliable in fantasy football. He finished with 70 yards and the two touchdowns.
Fantasy spin: Witten has consistently been ranked as one of the top tight ends to own in fantasy football. Sunday's performance was an indication of the type of potential he has when Tony Romo is taking care of the football.
The only Dallas receiver that caught more passes than Witten was Miles Austin
, who turned in a surprising 10-catch effort in the Cowboys' win. It's clear that even as he gets older, Witten remains Romo's most trusted option. Even with the depth at the tight end position in fantasy football this season, Witten should prove valuable.
