Ray Rice scores to salvage fantasy value in Week 1

Ray Rice rushed for 36 yards on 12 carries against the Broncos in the Ravens regular season opener. He scored a touchdown on a 1-yard scamper in the second quarter, providing one of the few highlights from his night running the ball.

Rice also added eight receptions for 35 yards. Joe Flacco attempted 62 passes, and Rice was his second most targeted player in the game.

Fantasy impact: Trying to play catch-up in the second half, the Ravens ultimately abandoned the run game. Flacco attempting 62 passes is never going to be a recipe for success, especially with the receiving corps he's currently working with.

If you have Rice in a PPR league, you made out nicely in Week 1. Expect him to continue to see a lot of targets each week, as Flacco has so few options to look for.
