Magic continue to work on buyout agreement with Hedo Turkoglu, according to report
The Orlando Magic and veteran forward Hedo Turkoglu continue to work toward a buyout agreement, according to Brian Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel. The two sides first began discussing a buyout at the start of the NBA's free agency period in July.
Turkoglu is set to make $12 million next season, although only half of his contract is guaranteed. The 34-year-old doesn't fit into Orlando's rebuilding plans, so if a buyout can be agreed upon, he will be waived and become an unrestricted free agent.
Turkoglu reportedly has a $3.4 million offer on the table from Turkish Euroleague squad Fenerbahce Ulker, so he has options if the NBA doesn't work out for him.
