Le'Veon Bell out of walking boot; encouraging sign for fantasy owners?

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell is no longer wearing a walking boot, according to D. Dale Lolley of the Observer-Reporter. Bell's injury has been classified as a mid-foot sprain, while others have suggested it might be a Lisfranc injury.

Either way, recent reports have suggested Bell would miss six to eight weeks due to the issue. But given that he's already out of the boot so soon after suffering the injury, one has to wonder if that's just an entirely pessimistic view. Obviously, it's unlikely that Bell is back for Week 1 or anything like that, but the Steelers could see him sooner rather than later.

Isaac Redman is set to start Week 1 for the Steeers, with Jonathan Dwyer backing him up. Bell is the presumed starter when he gets back.

Fantasy Impact: Bell was a popular fantasy pick once it became clear he was going to be the starter, but obviously, he's a big red flag at this point. If you've already drafted him, then this is good news for you and your team, but at the same time, he should still be avoided until it's clear what's going on with the injury.
