Dustin Keller injury: Dolphins tight end out for the season with knee injury
Miami Dolphins tight end Dustin Keller is out for the season after an MRI on his right knee revealed a torn ACL.
Keller was carted off the field in Saturday's 24-17 loss to the Houston Texans after Texans' safety D.J. Swearinger made contact with Keller's knee using his helmet. Swearinger stated after the game that he was consciously trying to avoid being fined for a hit to the head and maintained that going low was the smartest play he could have made.
Keller, who only appeared in five games for the New York Jets last year, will be replaced on the depth chart by rookie Dion Sims, who was the Dolphins' fourth round pick in this year's NFL draft.
