How to watch Buccaneers vs. Patriots online, TV schedule, radio and more
The New England Patriots didn't show any signs that the offseason will affect their in-season success in the first week of the preseason, but they'll have to continue proving that this weekend against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Patriots left last week's game against the Philadelphia Eagles with a 31-22 victory thanks in large part to LeGarrette Blount's 101 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries. It didn't hurt that Tom Brady was 7-of-8 with a touchdown in his limited playing time, either.
The Bucs were embarrassed by the Baltimore Ravens in last week's 44-16 loss, but starting quarterback Josh Freeman attempted just seven passes and Brian Leonard scored a touchdown on six rushing attempts if one's looking for the bright side. Tampa Bay will need a bit more on the bright side moving forward, though, if it is going to be competitive this season.
