Michael Egnew could get cut during Dolphins training camp
When the Miami Dolphins selected Michael Egnew in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft, they envisioned the athletic tight end being a big part of the team's passing attack. Instead, he's been a non-factor and may have a tough time making the roster this season.
Egnew has been working with the third and fourth-team on offense, according to the Miami Herald. The Dolphins signed Dustin Keller this offseason, and he has been getting the first-team reps. Charles Clay and rookie Dion Sims have been getting the primary action behind Keller on the depth chart.
While reports indicated he was having a strong offseason, the initial depth chart at training camp suggest otherwise.
