Free agent WR Bert Reed suspended 4 games, according to report
Bert Reed, a free agent wide receiver most recently on a roster with the Pittsburg Steelers, has been suspended by the NFL for four games, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun. A reason for the suspension remains undisclosed.
Reed entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Florida State in 2012, and has bounced around from roster to roster ever since. He initially signed with the Cleveland Browns, but failed to make the 53-man roster. He then joined on with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in October as a member of their practice squad, but lasted only two days. In November he went through a week-long stay with the Denver Broncos' scout team before being cut.
