Devin Harris contract: Mavericks reportedly working on revised deal for PG
Devin Harris and the Dallas Mavericks are reportedly working on a new deal that would take the point guard back to Dallas, according to ESPN's Marc Stein. It's unclear what the new deal will look like, but Harris had originally agreed to a three-year deal worth $9 million before it was taken off the table due to a toe injury that will require surgery.
Harris has bounced all around the NBA since beginning his career with three and a half seasons playing with Dallas, but -- aside from a fluky year that saw him earn All-Star honors with the New Jersey Nets -- he hasn't been able to find the success many believed he would after the start to his NBA career.
The 6'3 point guard averaged 9.9 points and 3.4 assists with the Atlanta Hawks last season as he dealt with the aforementioned toe injury that limited him to just 58 games. The nine-year NBA veteran has never played all 82 games in a season and has missed at least ten games in each of his past six seasons.
