Despite losing highly-touted prospects such as Oscar Taveras, Jorge Soler, and Jorge Alfaro, the World team is still a stacked squad with some excellent prospects. Featuring an excellent crop of infielders which includes Miguel Sano, who is widely-considered the Twins' second-best prospect after Byron Buxton, Francisco Lindor, who is considered to be the Indians' best prospect, and Carlos Correa, the Astros' first overall pick from 2012.

Its pitching staff features some excellent young power arms such as Miguel Almonte of the Royals, and Rafael De Paula of the Yankees, among others. Rafael Montero of the Mets should start the game in his parent club's home ballpark.

OF Joc Pederson, Dodgers

OF George Springer, Astros

OF Christian Yelich, Marlins

This team is loaded from pitcher to outfield, featuring Byron Buxton of the Twins, Archie Bradley of the Diamondbacks, and Addison Russell of the Athletics. Buxton is the headliner here, as his extraordinary season in the Midwest League has put him in the discussion as not only being the best prospect in baseball, but being a Trout-like talent.

This is all without any disrespect to such fine prospects as the single-season stolen base record holder for the minor leagues, Billy Hamilton, or MLB-ready second baseman Kolten Wong. This team is stacked from top to bottom, which should give the United States a good showing.

How to watch

The game will be broadcast on ESPN2 as well as MLB.com, and will be played at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday at Citi Field.
