LSU's Jeremy Hill charged with battery for bar fight
LSU running back Jeremy Hill has been officially charged in relation to an April bar fight, according to Jim Kleinpeter of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
The details of Hill's fight were not pretty: According to the Times-Picayune, Hill and an accomplice allegedly punched a man twice, knocking him out, then high-fived, all of it captured on a cell phone video that ended up in the hands of the police. He was immediately suspended from LSU -- SB Nation's And The Valley Shook wrote he needed to be removed from the team -- with Les Miles waiting to see the results of the court case before taking further action.
Hill was charged with simple battery Monday, as was an alleged accomplice. Hill's situation is complicated by the fact that his apparent crime was in violation of probation placed on him due to his January 2012 guilty plea for "misdemeanor carnal knowledge of a juvenile." A judge has placed a curfew on Hill and ordered him to undergo examination for substance abuse.
