Wimbledon 2013 results and scores: Sabine Lisicki upsets top-seeded Serena Williams

The women's draw of the 2013 Wimbledon took another wild turn as the No. 1 seed Serena Williams was upset by No. 23 Sabine Lisicki on Monday.

Other than that rather large upset, the rest of Monday's matches went as the seeding would suggest. No. 1 Novak Djokovic defeated No. 13 Tommy Haas in three sets and No. 2 Andy Murray needed three sets as well to dispatch No. 20 Mikhail Youzhny.

Whereas the men's quarterfinals draw looks somewhat predictable, the women's draw has a whole host of unknown names to casual tennis watchers. Agnieszka Radwanska is the highest-seeded woman at No. 4, and only three of the eight remaining players are seeded in the top 10.

Lisicki got off to a hot start, defeating Williams 6-2 in the first set. But Williams looked like she regrouped quickly and would be rolling her way to the quarterfinals with a 6-1 thrashing in the second set. Williams went up 3-0 in the third set but couldn't close it out as Lisicki moved onto the quarterfinals after taking the third set 6-4.
