Blue Jays activate Josh Johnson and Rajai Davis, place Ramon Ortiz on DL
The Toronto Blue Jays have reinstated right-hander Josh Johnson and outfielder Rajai Davis, and placed veteran right-hander Ramon Ortiz on the 15-day disabled list with an elbow strain, the team has announced.

Johnson, who has been sidelined since April 22 with a triceps strain, will finally get back to the mound Tuesday night against the Giants. Johnson experienced several setbacks in his recovery, and got knocked around handily in his two rehab starts, but Toronto feels that he's ready to go. Davis, who has been out with an oblique strain, will likely return to his role as the Jays' fourth outfielder.
Ortiz, 40, may have thrown his final big-league pitch during his start on Sunday. The veteran right-hander doubled over in pain during the third inning of his start against the Padres, and was visibly upset as he left the field, seemingly coming to terms with the fact that his 12-year MLB career may be at an end. It's unknown at this time whether the elbow strain means an operation is in his near future, but it's a definite possibility.
