Wojtek Wolski signs with KHL club
Wolski spent the 2013 regular season with the Washington Capitals after signing a one-year, $600,000 contract with the team last July. In 27 regular season games with Washington, Wolski registered nine points (four goals, five assists) and averaged 13:21 of ice time. He last played on April 11 against the Carolina Hurricanes and did not dress for any of the Capitals' seven postseason contests.
Originally selected with the No. 21 overall pick in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by the Colorado Avalanche, Wolski has played in 451 career NHL regular season games. In March of 2010, Wolski was traded to the Phoenix Coyotes in exchange for Peter Mueller and Kevin Porter. He was traded to the New York Rangers the following season for Michal Rozsival. In 2012, the Rangers traded Wolski to the Florida Panthers.
