Inquirer columnist Mike Jensen spent all of 2017 chronicling the many angles of Philadelphia's basketball community, from local rec leagues to youth teams to high schools, colleges and the pros.

Now that the series is over, some of the people Jensen featured have come together to thank him for his work.

Josh Verlin, a regular contributor to the Inquirer and Daily News on local basketball recruiting, has compiled a huge collection of tributes on his website, City of Basketball Love.

Click here to read the feature, which includes quotes from these 17 people whom Mike featured in his series:

New Orleans Pelicans guard and Chester High and St. Joe's product Jameer Nelson

Philadelphia court process-server and free basketball distributor Mike Gibson

All-City Classic co-director Charles "Shoob" Monroe

(Verlin got his own feature in Jensen's series, too, by the way, in July.)
