Phillies Minor League Report: Deivi Grullon powers Lakewood to victory

Here's how the Phillies' minor league teams fared on Saturday, July 11:

Lehigh Valley IronPigs – Triple A

The IronPigs fell to the Pawtucket Red Sox, 7-2, Saturday at McCoy Stadium.

Jason Berken lost his sixth game of the season Saturday. Berkin pitched six innings and surrendered three runs on 10 hits.

Aaron Altherr went 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Chase d'Arnaud went 1-for-5 and knocked in his 22nd RBI of the season.

Lehigh Valley is back in action Sunday at 1:05 p.m.

Reading Fightin Phils – Double-A

The Fightin Phils fell, 1-0, to the Akron RubberDucks in Game 1 of a doubleheader on Saturday at Canal Park.

Reading failed to muster a hit in Game 1.

Ben Lively pitched 5 1/3 innings in Game 1 and allowed one run on seven hits. Lively struck out five batters and took his seventh loss of the season.

Reading won Game 2, 4-3, in eight innings.

Ryan O'Sullivan earned his first win of the season. He pitched one scoreless inning of relief.

Tom Windle pitched two innings of relief and struck out three batters.

Art Charles, Brodie Greene and Andrew Knapp each knocked in a run.

Reading is back in action Sunday at 2:05 p.m.

Clearwater Threshers – Class A-Advanced

The Threshers fell to the Fort Myers Miracle, 6-1, Saturday at CenturyLink Sports Complex.

Victor Arano lost his eighth game of the season Saturday. Arano pitched five innings and gave up five runs on eight hits.

Right fielder Aaron Brown went 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Clearwater is back in action Sunday at 4:05 p.m.

Lakewood BlueClaws – Class A

The BlueClaws defeated the Hickory Crawdads, 4-3, Saturday at FirstEnergy Park in 10 innings.

Reliever Matt Hockenberry earned his third win of the season. Hockenberry pitched two scoreless innings and struck out four batters.

Catcher Deivi Grullon went 3-for-4 with a home run, double and an RBI.

Right fielder Herlis Rodriguez went 1-for-4 with two RBIs.

Lakewood is back in action Sunday at 1:05 p.m.

Williamsport Crosscutters – Short-Season A

The Crosscutters defeated the Connecticut Tigers, 10-3, on Saturday at Bowman Field.

Mitch Gueller won his third game of the season. Gueller pitched five innings and allowed one run on three hits.

Center fielder Mark Laird went 3-for-4 with an RBI.

Catcher Austin Bossart went 3-for-4 with two RBIs.

Williamsport is back in action Sunday at 5:05 p.m.
